i have tried conventional strippers to remove the layers of paint from my copper ceiling. if i continue at this rate it may be 2 years before all the paint is gone. is there an easier way to remove the paint. can i power wash the ceiling, is there a stronger paint remover that HD doesnt know about??? any suggestions would be a great help!!!

Have you tried Red Devil(sp) paint remover? It is very strong and if you use it, make sure you have all the windows open. I once "chipped" the paint off a tin ceiling, but it took forever to do it like that.

Have you tried a heat gun or the Silent Paint Remover - a heated bar that softens up the paint? Folks use this a lot with stripping woodwork. You might ask over at www.oldhouseweb.com - there's a lot of professional "strippers" over there - comes from years of house renovating experience!
