I have a cranberry glass and silver plate pickle castor the glass has enameled flowers. I knocked it over and there is a chip out of the rim and a crack that extends about 1/2 way down.. I found a conservator in town who says he can keep it from cracking any more and grind down the chip...what would this do to the value? Is it worth getting it fixed?
