On a drive today my DH and I spotted a standing wicker sewing basket in an antique store window. It was painted white and its quaintness caught my attention. DH went in and the price was $52.00. I'm not sure if it is an "antique" or not and was hoping someone here could give me some advice on how to tell. I will post a pic of a similar one. Thanks for any advice or knowledge you may have to share.

I'm no expert but from the picture it doesn't look that antique (i.e. turn of the century) but it is a nice piece and with that price tag and if you have a place for it, I would get it!!!!

I think it may be an antique because how many people do you know today that do enough sewing to warrant owning such a sewing basket?

But even if it is new $52 seems like a good price.
