When we moved into this old house--the kitchen (now laundry room) had a slate sink (still there) and a spigot with 3 taps--
HOT, COLD and CITY????

IS this worth anything and how old do you think? (1920??)

THANKS!

I would think much older. At least turn of the 20th C. There were three slate sinks originally in our 1905 house. Laundry tubs were slate and still in basement. Unfortunately they were both cracked. I would love to have kept them.

Rich people like to have a new home built so it looks old and then they like to fill it with old fashioned things that are never used. I bet you could ask a fortune for it. I would never sell because I love old, old things. They have stores and catalogs that sell all the old farm stuff but most of it is new and made to look antique.

well, You can buy a special tool to do this, but it cost money, and you won’t use the tool often anyway. all you need is an empty toilet roll tube, a piece of tab, a box spanner and a spanner..
