I have a large Victorian style low dresser with a marble top. Associated with this is a mirror piece which I've never used but now are considering options for. The mirror is large, beveled and will need re-silvering. It fits in an inner frame (plain) and then that fits into a larger decorative frame. I suppose originally it was made to swivel within the large frame which must have been mounted to the dresser. There is no clear way to attach the large mirror frame to the dresser so mounting brackets/parts must be missing. Any ideas for other options?? Thought of somehow attaching legs to the large mirror frame and placing the whole thing against the wall behind the dresser, or just mounting the mirror frame directly to the wall. I don't need the inner frame/mirror to swivel/move. I'd love any suggestions.
If you have to take the mirror to be re-silvered ask about a dresser stand for the mirror. I bet they could help you or in the end a nice wall mounting for it.
Check for mounting brackets to replace those missing.
