I have an old brown teapot, very heavy, with lighter brown around the top rim and on the tip of the spout. It belonged to a neighbor of my dad's and is very old. She was from Scotland so I don't know if that's where it was originally from. The only identifying mark is a star design that's on the bottom of the pot, it looks like it was pressed into the pot, not painted. Any thoughts on it, I have googled it, ebayed it and can't find anything that looks like it.
    Thanks,
