Have a growing collection of "tea balls". Probably have close to 20 by now. A lot of different sizes and shapes. Most found for $.10-.50 at yard sales. Most I paid was $5... but it's Sterling silver. Have one that's as big as a softball. Maybe NOT for tea?? Possibly for whole herbs/spices like peppercorns or bay leaves?

Rarely drink hot tea and when I make iced tea it's from tea bags.

    Chairlady,
Nothing I collect makes much sense. I love columns and have nine of them. A couple are actually in my house, but the rest, well.... I also love odd bits of wrought iron and can't pass up fence pieces etc. Lamp parts are another of my fascinations, along with glass lenses. I use some in art pieces, but that is just an excuse to buy them. Lets not forget old price tags, buttons, tacks, fraternal organization pieces from the Odd Fellows and such. The list goes on.

Big Grin LOL Do collections really HAVE to make sense? Big Grin Most of mine are decorative, at least to me.

    Let's see, I have:
-over a dozen aromatherapy diffusers - only ever use 1 or 2 at a time
-collection of handmade pottery, mostly one of a kind bits and pieces, mostly only decorative
-silver plate holloware - too many to ever put out for display at any one time altho do use some of it, but I freely admit I don't need that many
-love old windows - have used a few but have more in the shed I haven't done anything with yet - they will eventually be used somewhere in my garden
-ditto old shutters and I will eventually think of a T2T use for them

ALL of my other collections make complete sense IMO!!! Wink

Love the idea of collecting tea balls, TCL, how do you display them?

MSD, I love columns also but don't find them much around here.

Guess I'll chime in here too. But I wonder if there's a connection to the fact that we're all T2T'rs too????
Yeah, none of my collections make much sense, but I have about 100 salt dishes, most are crystal, a few are porcelain. Also have about a dozen of those old aluminum powder music boxes; have 6 or 7 ink wells; and I think about 9 or 10 Emmett Kelly statues - two are signed. Oh yeah, outside I have a half dozen railroad lanterns and three of those old road torches (don't know if you really consider that a collection though...LOL) Now, THOSE really don't make sense... But when we do light them, we get quite a few comments, and horns beeping!!!

Well...the first thing that comes to mind is the sheer number of things that I collect. That probably makes the least sense!

I'd love to see a pic of that collection! Do you display them all together on shelves? I only have one, got it at a yard sale for 50¢. I had one as a kid years ago. I rarely see them but will definitely collect those if/when I do.
