    Hello,

    I ran across these small vases and was wondering if anyone knows what they are called, how old etc.

    They appear to be hand painted and they are no more than 3 inches high. They have unusual markings on the botton. More like a pattern, definately not a name (at least I think not).

    Here is a link to some pics;

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    I don't know anything about your vases except I want them. I collect cobalt blue glass and those are great pieces.

    It is called "Mary Gregory" glass - came in both blue and ruby/cranberry red. It was pretty popular in the late 1800's - try and google Mary Gregory glass and you should get some additional information. My folks have a sample of this in their collection of victorian glass.
