They look like they might have some value. The left one is ceramic and the right one is glass.

The one on the left is flow blue. It's really pretty. Is there a maker's name on the back? I can't tell what kind of pattern is on the other one so I don't dare venture a guess.

The one on the right is depression glass I think. Can you get a full picture of it? The color is interesting.

I tried and tried, but i couldn't get any better picture. The flash just glares off the bowl. I also tried to photograph it back lighted and against a white background without any better luck. However, I do know it's not a classic piece of depression. I am familiar with that glass and the etched pattern in the Carnival glass bowl is not one of the major patterns. It a deep reddish gold color though. Depression is usually clear, green, pink or amber. Some patterns come in white (milk glass), light yellow or a very light colored carnival color like the Floragold pattern. Thanks for your interest though.

How about flipping them upside down so we can see them from the bottom?

Nice finds. I too, think the one on the right is Carnival glass. Check your library for some books on glassware and ceramics. Good luck.
