Does any one know anything about these? I purchased them about 20 years ago in a second hand store. They are about 2 inches high and it says "Hand Painted Pottery" on the bottom.

There are a number of references to black minstrel figurines in the Black Americana category in Kovels'. There aren't pictures, so I don't know if they are the same, exact figurines. They vary in value - according to 2007 Kovels' - from about $60 each to $110. Do you remember what you paid for them?

Indeed, I do think they're Gollys! The BBC version of Cash in the Attic often uncovers them. They usually sell quite well, too.

    You did brilliantly!
    Good Golly!
