I've not heard of it before. But think I would be leary of trying to put wax paper thru printer. My printer is a top loader (paper sort of stands up.). If you try it let us know.

I too would be leary of putting wax paper by itself through my printer just because I would be afraid of it crinkling or tearing and gumming up my machine but I have put tissue paper and thin vellum through by first securing it to a regular piece of printer paper with double back tape for better stability.

*The same technique can also be done using transparency film which is stiffer and I think I'd use a brayer instead of a credit card/squeegee.

I've actually printed on regular printer paper with my inkjet then transfered the image to wood using a heat tool. You do have to seal it.

I would be concerned about it messing up my printer also. But this have me think about freezer paper. LOL

I would have given this a try when I read it yesterday if I hadn't gotten rid of dd's old printer last week. It didn't do the best job so we replaced it with one of my Epsons. I wouldn't have cared if it had ruined hers. I will have to give the freezer paper or tranparency a try when I get a chance.
