For those of you who ordered the creative metals pkg. from Walnut Hollow, you will not be disappointed. Mine arrived yesterday and I still can't believe the array of tools and materials that were in it. Can't wait to hear how everyone uses it. Enjoy!

Thanks Rainee - mine is due to be delivered today and I can't wait. Always good to have something to look forward to on a dreary rainy January day! I probably won't be using mine right away - going to visit dh's family on Friday for the weekend..

ITs Here!!! Rainee, I can't believe how much was in the box. I so want to play with it right now. I can't wait to emboss some of it with my sizzix

Mine are both scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Not sure when I'll be able to work with it - it will have to be soon or it will go the way of my cricut - sitting there unused lol. Too many toys and too little time. (Although my oldest has already stated she wants me to make a specific ring for her so I imagine I'll be getting bugged on this one).

Mira'smom, I also have a Sizzix and a Bigshot and I've used the creative metals with both. I have always liked using the metals with the BigShot texture plates and they do look great when used with embossing folders. There is so much you can do with them! Have fun!!!

Hjvagar, I'll be surprised if you don't find something to do with this package ASAP. Enjoy!!

Hi, it's been a long time since I posted due to losing my information. Sorry. Has anyone found a site with projects on it for these lovely kits? I thought I found one but it was down. hjvagar, you said your daughter had a ring she wanted you to make. Can you make one from the soft metals?Aren't they too soft? I'd love to see any projects made with this kit. Newbie 68.

The creative metal is too soft for jewelry on it's own, you would have to use it on or over a base material such as wood, chip board, foam core, other metal, acrylic, etc.
I have a large number of wood bangle bracelet blanks and have plans to incorporate the metal on one of those. I am just finishing up a painted 'Hello Kitty' bangle for my daughter so I will be ready to move on to a new project.

Walnut Hollow re-designed their site but I found the Creative Metal projects. Go to the following link and scroll through the projects for ideas. There is a link in the upper left corner if you want instructions for a project.

I am working on my first project from the kit and will post a pic when I am done. I had a wood box sitting in my stash for a couple of years. I embossed the metal using my Gran Caliber and a spellbinders embossing folder and put it on the top of the box. It embosses so nicely using the folders. I am loving how it turned out considering how little time it took me. I should be able to post a pic before Tueday.

I can't wait to see your box either. Sounds lovely and rainee thanks for clearing that up for me about making rings and things as i had thought it wouldn't be strong enough on it's own but a chipboard sounds doable. Oh and please keep those ideas coming as it sure does help. Newbie 68

I didn't get the box finished yet - somethings came up that kept me from it but I plan to finish it this afternoon, so hopefully a pic will come soon.
