Just wanted to give some of you an idea to play with. It seems that aprons are getting popular again. Maybe not so much the need for them but crafting of them. Many are more of a decoration then used, but so many ideas to choose from. I love the ones that add an old pillow case embroidered edge to them or the ones that become more like altered art.

I used to love to wear an apron. It made me feel so..domestic (?) lol Have you seen the ones they make out of a man's shirt. Really 'cool'.

Thanks Diane for sharing this bit of nostaliga (can't spell).

I make aprons for my craft sales, and they sell pretty well. I make ones like the pic below. They are real easy to make. The country & Christmas fabric sell the best.

I always get my daughter and DIL aprons for a holiday gift. I found this pic. and my DIL wants it desperately! She is a ballerina : ) Now I just need to figure out how to make it.

My MIL used to make my daughter and me matching aprons each year. I have passed them on to her now that she has started her family. It is a nice rememberance for her.

Robin when I looked through the pictures. It looks like a heavy material ~like duck cloth canvas material~...and I noticed that the ruffle is sewn opposite of how we normally do it. But because of the "backward" flip of the ruffle it makes it stand out....love that idea!
Thank you so much for sharing it!
The body of the apron could be altered from most any full pattern apron. The ties are very long and they are attached on the back/side and then they are wrapped around the person that is wearing the apron ending where it is most pleasing.
