Has anyone done a craft show recently? I am doing one on Saturday. Having mixed feeling on this one. The way the economy is if I can get back my booth fee and gas money to get there I will feel very fortunate. I usually just do late fall and Christmas shows.
    Thanks!

Good luck with your show, you just never know in advance how it will go.
We don't have to many spring shows here, I used to do a couple, but sales were not great.
I did have a week booked at my local Curves. They let members bring in items for sale, and I have done this in the past. But this year I canceled. Broke my foot, can't drive, new grandbaby, too many irons in the fire. Plus, I just have not painted or crafted enough to have things to sell.
Is yours all homemade items or mixed with commercial vendors?
Let us know how yours goes.

Spring craft shows are harder to sell things at then the Fall ones. Everyone is busy with their yards and just getting out doors again. They really don't go to craft shows and if they do-unless it's something for their yard--they don't buy anything. Prove me wrong. I hope you do well. Please let us know how you do. Maybe i'll try it again.

Thanks for the encouragement. This is a garden and craft show. Will let you know the results.
Since I buy supplies all year it would be nice to recoup some money instead of waiting until fall. Will just have to see how it goes.

Good luck to both of you. I have one in Porterville this week-end - it's an Iris Festival - been going on for 17 years. I don't sell Spring items per say(sp) I sell neck coolers, potato bags and my redneck tank tops... I made over $500 last week-end at a local flea market - crazy, huh...

Howdy---just wanted to drop by & say that I have been feverishly getting ready for my 3rd year at the Mansfield Farmers Market. It starts late this year (my mistake for not paying attention) so I will miss out on the Mothers day sales. (sigh)

Here's a link to the craft show report that I sadly missed out on.

    http://boards.hgtv.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1004031632/m/...491092363#4491092363

I inquired about the craft booths at the local air base & right now, the price of the rental & high gas prices is going to keep me from participating this year.

This past weekend was the 3 day Antique Alley that happens twice a year (Spring & Fall). I did not go out at all this spring. I usually do the fall shows but may be rethinking it this year. Just tooooo far to drive back 'n forth for 3 days.

I wish everyone luck with their sales -

    as always,

    Hi Charfree...

I want to wish you good luck with your show...
I only do one show a year and that is in October so I really don't know how early shows do here at the lake of The Ozark...

If you don't mind me asking you what part of the Lake of the Ozark are you located at?...I live by Warsaw Mo right at the Lake of the Ozark..

I wish you the best of luck. I used to do shows in the spring and summer, but this year the Easter shows were so bad that I am not going to do any summer shows. I was thinking of doing some farmers market in my area (crafts are once a month) and selling my dog and cat treats, and furbaby quilts and clothing.
