Connie KruMore pressed flowers
I made these so they will hang in my window (I may give them away after they hang for a week in mine)
They are laminated and then I used my ric rack die cut twice for the frame.

AsiaticLilyConnie, greetings from a fellow Michigander. It's not quite as cold in my area, but definitely cold enough!
I'm intrigued by your idea of using pressed flowers as window ornaments. They're really clever and quite pretty.
I've never used them in laminate and am wondering how long it lasts, especially in a window? Does it last longer in winter than summer - I assume the summer heat affects the laminate.
Do you use a lamination machine or do it by hand? I've just joined this forum so I apologize if you've answered these questions previously and I haven't found the post.
I'm also thinking that pressed flowers would make nice placemats if used with the lamination technique. Have you done this as well?
Thanks for sharing these lovely designs.

Connie KruHi
I sent you a private message AsiaticLily.
I have a machine that is for Hot Laminating, but before I got my machine I used the hot laminating, but with my IRON. Worked fairly well.
I have not made place mats, but it would work. You would just want to be sure that you used very flat flowers(like pansy, lobelia and not bigger flowers like daisy that have a thicker center) and nothing with a high center to it, so that everything would be flat and not cause a glass to tilt when you sat it on the place mat

surfingYour dried flowers are so beautiful. I like the idea of them displayed in a window. Do you still do your butterflies?
Would like to post a couple more cards, but I don't know whats wrong lately - haven't changed anything - use paint as was suggested, Had problem with computer, so geek squad changed me from Internet Explorer (had sooo many error messages) to Google Chrome. Thats the only things that is different.
Good to see you on the board again.

Connie KruHi Ginny
I post my pictures through Photo Bucket.
Yes I still do butterflies. I was so busy last summer with butterflies (they flew in almost a month and a half earlier than usual)and because of that I did very little with pressed flowers.
Those that keep well still look pretty good even after 2 or three years of being pressed.
I will try harder to grow and press flowers this summer, or I won't have anything to work with and it is surprising how much working with them lifts my spirits in the MIDDLE OF WINTER.
