My dds girll scout troop (8th graders) needs to make a craft for the church that lets them meet there for their craft fair. Last year they made snowmen trees. Any ideas?

How about bottle cap necklaces? you can get the bottlecaps at a beermaking supply company, use stickers, print out all kinds of graphics from the web. the caps run around 4.00 for a gross. they can be spray painted. very inexpensive. they can also make washer necklaces. you can do a search, the instructions are everywhere.

These are fabric covered plates or saucers. Very easy and really turn out pretty. If you use Chrstmas fabrics maybe use gold pen to cover the edge.. you can use fabric that is on a popular subject, like HELLO KITTY, a teddy bear for baby shower gift.. endless.. My work did these and everyone loved them. We did these right here as a Fri nite PJ party craft, everyone loved them. Maybe where ever you get your plates etc, possible can get a girl scout discount. hope you enjoy them. If so let us see the ones you do...

i posted felt Christmas trees with packages and ornaments for the little guys ... super easy to make.. Your girls would have no trouble making them. and put them in homemade bags... have one out to view. again can probably get your fabric donated or discount with girl scouts.

go to Michaels,a craft s5tore, or a chocolate store if there is one near you. get sucker molds, sucker sticks,wrappers, and of course the chocolate melts. to sell suckers. easy
also at dollar store get the bag of large pretzels, some sprinkles, and cho melts.
dip part of the pretzel in the microwave melted chocolate, add some sprinkles. a wrapper
-- you would want a little ribbon to tye these..

The snowman popcorn would be easy and they seem to sell very well. I would think any idea under $5.00 would do well, there are alot of graphics and this board that you could use.

How much do you usually charge for the microwave popcorn snowmen?

GrammieP, I usually charge $3 for my Popcorn Snowmen. Also, you could try making the Cocoa Cones that were done a couple of years ago. I sold those for $3 each, also. You can get about 20 of them from one of the large containers of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix, two bags of Nestle Chocolate Chips and a large bag of Kraft Mini Marshmallows. There is a little tag that is tied on (if anyone wants a copy of it, please PM me).

Okay, here it is. This is a Word document. I just printed it on blank white card stock and cut them apart with my paper pinking shears. Punch a hole in one corner and tie it to the cone with a curly ribbon.
