Ok - I need some ideas. I usually make the girs (Sisters -in-laws, niece (shes' 25) and some girl friends a present. I have made aprons, potato chip scarves, fleece blankets, and am now out of ideas. I need suggestions. TIA, Colleen

How about fingerless gloves? You could even do a set of a fleece scarf with matching fingerless gloves. There is a site called All Free Sewing that would probably have how-to's if you need some kind of pattern. And, of course, there are patterns from all the major pattern companies.

Everyone I've given these jewelry pouches to loves them: http://www.northtipton.com/jewelry.htm Here's a photo of what they look like, but I like the first directions better -- no hand sewing the opening after turning. I use heavyweight Peltex for the small bottom circle. https://sew4home.com/projects/...pocket-jewelry-pouch Ruth Ann

Crafty, I love that project and have made lots of them over the years. They also make cute sewing kits with a pin cushion glued to the middle and little spools of thread in the pockets. The thread from the Dollar Tree is smaller and fits better in the pockets. I used the plastic from a butter tub lid for the center and put a loop of ribbon for scissors.

How about a coupon book? You could run them off on the computer or make yourself. You could say " one free lunch on me " If they have kids, " free evening babysitting " Find out some of their fav things and add them to the book. Just a thought. Penny Today, Tomorrow and always! If you see someone without a smile...give them one of yours!

My son-in-law's grandmother buys new inexpensive calendars (Michaels) and puts birthdays and anniversaries inside. She uses address labels to print them out to make it faster. My DIL made one for me using WalMart photo lab and used family photos in it. It was great to post in my classroom. It would be fun to stage photos for each month. I could get really silly with that.

BTW the reason I thought about this was I realized I totally missed a birthday on October 3rd. They live in Italy and I think I'll send her iTunes or Amazon money. Makes me feel bad when they're so far away and forgotten;(
