Looking for penguin ornament ideas Sign In/Join

I made penguin tree ornaments before from 3 inch wooden tags and am looking to do a penguin themed tree for my office this year. I was wondering if anyone had some penguin ornament ideas. I make an ornament each year for everyone in the office (usually with their names on them.)

I picked a penguin theme this year since the zoo here just opened a new penguin exhibit.

TIA, Colleen

Found this one. It could be made with a smaller bottle.

Or this, using small bulbs

I made penguin light bulbs and I am making some candle holders as we speak. I will post a picture of those when finished.
Here are the penguin bulbs. They are sort of easy to make.

Well here are the penguin ornaments I made. I drew a penguin and then cut the pieces from felt and sewed them together. I used orange felt for the beak and feet. I used seed beads for the eyes.

The skirt I have has a snow man on it, so I made need to make a new skirt. It also needs a topper - time to put my thinking cap on!

Why not cut penquins out but make them flat and tack them on the skirt. If you turn the skirt over, is it plain white? Just a thought.

These are really cute Cream Cheese Penguins to go with your tree if you are making treats. They look tasty to me and would be cute with some of those sugar cubes on the tray to look like snow.

My daughter and I made the cream cheese penguins last year for Christmas. Be prepared though if you make them? Why? Everyone said they were to cute to eat so most of them stayed there????? LOL We also make an igloo to go with them out of cream cheese.

Your penguin tree is awesome and your ornament a keeper. Love it! TFS
