Was on another site and they posted this. I think it wonderful for all those who do not have the space. I am decorating our cottage this year and the first thing Hubby said is there is NO room for a tree???? NOW THERE IS! LOL Enjoy Penny
Perfect excuse to buy the ornments after Christmas - Looks complicated but so beautiful!!! She's done a great job of explaining how to do it... Yep - I happen to have an old fashioned light/plant hook in the corner of my living room where I usually have my tree...

I saw this on Pinterest a long time ago and repinned it. I didn't even think about going to look for the directions, but I sure do like it. Thanks for bringing it here and reminding me that there are directions.

Oh Man!! I just gave away hundreds and hundreds of silver bulbs that were left from my sons wedding last year...darn. Thanks for sharing this Penmac...wonderful idea. **I seen on you tube a lady saying to use white thread when hanging something against white...then you don't get the "shine" from the clear thread. This message has been edited. Neat idea. I think I'd draw the concentric circles on paper and lay it under the rack. Then I'd color code the placement of each ornament using a dot of two different colors of fingernail polish or paint. My grandmother made a similar one in the 60's and the cat thought it was her toy and every wisp of air would set it to jiggling.
Wow, what a neat idea. I'd like to make this for our bay window, but I don't think my DH would let me put holes in the wood window ceiling. Any ideas around this?

bowlrmom, I would look at the Command hooks that have the pull and release sticky wall hooks. Or depending on your surface you could use a suction type of hook. If you use the command type of hook you would need one where the "hook part" is big enough to hold the supporting strings / chain so it doesn't slide off.

Oh my gosh Penny. I have shown this to everyone that has come to visit me and every single one of them loved it. Most of them are now planning on buying ornaments on sale after the holidays so they can make this for next year lol. Thanks again!

Those are really pretty. You could even use your own regular ormaments couldn't you? I've got so many special ones homemade but someday may not put up the tree. HUMMM something to think about! TFS

That is a creative ethereal tree alright. Have you seen the one using lamp shade forms and Christmas bulbs? Don't forget the wall mounted tree option for those with space restrictions too.
