I have been posting pics here for several years with no problems. All of a sudden it won't let me. I emailed photobucket and did everything they said to do (a list of 19 things!) with no good result. Every time I try to post a picture, I click on browse, copy the img link from photobucket and paste it into the little window. When I do, on the very bottom of that window it will say Error on page and not go any further. Does anyone have any suggestions how to solve this problem???? I want to post pics again!!!!

Oh, and just to let you know, I tried saving the pics to my puter and posting them that way and I get the same Error on page message.

I don't know much about computers, but if you can tell us how and what you are doing maybe one of us can help. Are you saving your pictures as jpg's? That's how mine are saved when I post pictures.

I save my pictures in picture it file and upload from the computer. I am very computer challenged, so I don't have any ideas as to why we are having problems posting at certain times.I do hope someone can tell you why your pictures won't post.

You can't use the [img] link to post pictures on this forum, or post a picture that's saved on the net. You have to have the picture saved on your hard drive, then use the Attachment feature to upload it onto HGTV's servers. For the name of the picture, just click on browse and when you find the picture, click on it and the correct information will appear in the box. Your picture also has to be 150k or less or you'll get an error message.

Or, since the picture is already in Photobucket, just post the url link in your message (not the attachment). We can click on that to see your picture on Photobucket.

hj....paste your link in the big window not the little browse window. I have my pics saved on my hard drive so I'm not sure how photobucket works.

I use a small program called Irfanview to resize my photos. Open the photo in the program > click on Image > Resize/Resample > Set the largest side of your photo at 500 or 600 > Ensure "Preserve aspect ratio" is checked and the program will automatically resize the other side of your photo > click OK. Now you want to save your photo as a jpg file .... click on File > save as > At the bottom, give your file a name and select "Jpg" format.

Now your photo should be the appropriate size to upload to the forum.

Thanks all for the responses. I have resized my pics and I have saved them to my drive. I have posted pics before from photobucket and from my drive with no problems. This just cropped up recently. Oh well, I will post the url as granny suggested and hope that works. Thanks again!

Oh and one more thing - CardsWeKeep, no question is a dumb one. Believe me, if we all didn't ask questions when we first started learning how to work our ways around this forum, you would see no pictures at all lol! I think we have all asked that one before so we've all been there! The way I resize my pics is I put them in my email and it lets me resize there. Then I send them to myself and save to my puter.

    Hjvager,
I did finally figure out what my problem was. I several different programs installed for different thing to do ,My computor was opening my pictures up with Quick time pro instead of Microsft Office pictue manager. find your picture you want to post and right click on it . It should come up with a menu bar of what you can open your pictures with and see if that helps.
