Hi everyone and Happy Mothers Day! Someone asked me to do a grapevine paver and this is what I came up with...I used a crackle base and I hope you can see it...I wasnt sure it would work on the cement, but it did!!!! They live by the beach so I thought that background was the one to use...Hope you like it!

Wow that is really pretty! I always wanted to do the pavers but was afraid that after putting all my hard work into one that the paint would eventually just flake off of it.

I love your grapevine paver!! You're a very good artist!

Hjvagar, You could always make one of the smaller ones and use it as a doorstop. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the weather getting to it.

Oh, I like that! What a good job. Thanks for giving us another idea. Now I'm in the garden trying to "catch up" with Mother Nature but I so want to start painting pavers.

    Nice Job!
Could you explain the prep-steps for painting on pavers? I assume it's special paint and a sealer of some sort?

thanks everyone for your kind words...I dont use any special prep for the paver, but I do put a sealer on it when I am done...They have never flaked for me out in the weather, I have been making them and selling them for years, and no one has complained...I get orders for them from the same people, so I feel they like the way the wear in the weather...thanks again

hi jd, normally i would trace a pattern, but I could not find one, so I did this "all by myself"!! Sometimes you think you cant do it and then you try and guess what???It comes out okay!

Very pretty and creative. Do those type paver's break easily? I have some straight scalloped one and seems they break just looking at them.
