I think the chain looks just fine! In fact, after pricing the handles at Michaels and JoAnne's, yours looks really good! Those things sure aren't cheap! Great job!

OOOOh, great idea with the chains. How about weaving some ribbon through the chain too? I bought a bunch of hats after the holidays and will try these over the summer. I found a few handles on clearance at JoAnns, but was wondering what to do for the rest. I think you just solved my problem. I have a few chain belts that I think are cute, but my daughter says they are "out", so maybe I can use them. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks everyone. I had fun doing them. I have about 6 more hats This one was a small hat but I have some bigs one I'm going to try. Bought after Christmas.
I can't remember who was the first one to post the pics of these hats but want to thank her! I was thinking of sewing a little charm on the brim or on the flap. what do you think?

just a thought, two [more would be distracting] jingle bells on the chain?
otherwise, this idea is fantastic and well executed. Maybe ribbon as above? candycane striped?

Love the hat/purse, what about a vintage Ch***tmas pin, on the fur, remember my Mom having a tree on her coat lapel, when I was growing up.
