Did you think about laminating them before you glue them on. If you do not have a machine use clear contact paper. Maybe that would help to keep them from the weather.

Are you asking how to protect the painted wood ornaments, the paper cut designs, or both?

Wow with all three different materials the only thing I can think of is to lightly spray it with a sealer several times to make sure it's totally sealed.

Hmmmm, thinking back on my response I'm not sure if that's right. I know up here in the north if I did that it wouldn't last too long - maybe a year or two tops if even that. I've made so many things for outside and with the cold, ice and all most don't last. Maybe someone else will have a better answer for you.

An epoxy sealer would work, you can embed anything in it and they make one for outside too. I do have to warn you however it is a bit expensive to purchase. It is a package of 2 different mediums that you mix together and then pour over your sign. Be sure to wear gloves as it is really stickey if you get it on your hands.
