I am hosting an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) exchange on one of my groups and thought I would share 3 of them with you. The first one is not painted, the background is melted Crayola. and a sticker and stamped. I really enjoyed this one.

This one I called "The Art of Roses". My design and hand painted. This one has a masking technique background then painted with metallic paints. Thanks for looking.

All 3 are beautiful. Hard to pick a favorite.

KG...they are the size of a playing card.

Love this technique. You actually take masking tape and tear into small pieces and place it down on your surface (mine is watercolor paper) until you have it completely covered. Then you can stain it or paint it. I painted this one with metallic paints. You can even use shoe polish if you wish. Several years ago I remember doing this: we would take masking tape and cover a can or bottle and then use brown shoe polish and then wipe off some of it. My mother would add a candle to the bottle and we would use this when the lights went out. I guess some of you may remember this too.
I make cards like this too and people always ask how I did it. Thanks for asking.
