Clear sealers... Sign In/Join

I have been using Krylon clear spray sealers for as long as I remember. When you are finishing off small things a can will last forever...I had to buy a new can last month and I was in for a surprise. We made a lot of birdhouses this year and the first one I "sealed" now looks as if it has a light dusting of snow. Now I am being told that that the paint has been reformulated and it is known to do this. I used modpodge matte to seal the rest. I have finally found a local source for the Deco Art spray which I will use from now on.

Was it the Crystal Clear acrylic spray sealant?
I too use it occasionally. Will certainly test any new cans, that sounds bad.

Thanks for the heads up!

That is exactly what the old can says, and I must confess that I threw the new can in the trash!

When I went to the local independent shop to see what she used she mentioned that MANY had had the same experience. Krylon said they would look into it, but she would no longer carry that product.

So, testing would be wise...

That's good to know. I have always used Krylon myself but the last time I went to get some they were out of the Satin finish so I bought some Valspar Satin Finish spray varnish and I like it just as well as the old Krylon.
