I was sketching on a ATC last night and "Pepper" was born. I really liked her and think she turned out great. I drew her from a model in a magazine. Does anybody remember years ago when the flap on matches had a picture that said "Draw me"? I use to draw these all the time. I think they were really an ad for an art school. Just wondering if I am the only one.

Nice ATC, you did a great job.
I remember those match book advertisements for drawing.

Good job and that made a nice ATC. I have never made one but have seen some neat ones. TFS

I do remember the "draw me" ads and think I may have even submitted one. Unless I am dreaming, a rep may have made my parents and me a house call, but I was not fooled. I did attend art school after graduating, but my degree was for Fashion Illustration. I did not pursue that career however.

What is ATC?

An ATC is an Artist Trading Card, these little cards are 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 and not sold but traded among artist. I have a large collection from all over the world. I have a group on face book called Painting Creations and we trade each month and I assign a them each month as well. Everyone just makes one and mails it to their swap partner and then you will receive one back in the mail. fun times.
