I almost forgot to share a pic of the clothes pins I painted to resemble candy canes. First, I took the pins apart, & then painted them red. I then painted the white striping on them, and since these are for the grandchildren, I put their name on the inside along with my name & the date. So, in years to come they can put my decoration on their Christmas trees.

What a good idea! Maybe they could use them to hang their stockings up, or for another xmas make them a wee stocking to hang on the tree. TFS Liz

What a cute idea Kathleen. And a great keepsake. Good job. Is it hard to take apart and put back together the pin?

Thanks for the compliments, gals. In years past when I hung clothes outside, this type pin would sometimes come apart, but I could always get them back together with no difficulty. But now, 40 yrs later, I had somewhat of a hard time getting these back together. Old muscles, you know? LOL

P.S…to Drywatergal…Thanks for inspiring me to take & share pictures. LOL I’ve been doing all this stuff & never thought of sharing them here. Look for a few more pics tomorrow.

I love how you took them apart and painted them completely. They are so cute.

Love this idea! I found a brand new pkg of clothespins in my craft room & was reluctant to use them what they are originally used for. Yes, I do use my clothesline for drying clothes - not just paint light bulbs. (lol)

Thanks for the idea! I feel much better.

as always,
