thank you both... i must have painted about 5 coats of different color paints on him, i didn't really like it, finally my husband told me to stop...LOL

He is very nicely done. The body is an egg Gourd and the rest (feathers and eye's are Clay)??

I must show my son's girlfriend your work, she does a little work with clay.
For Christmas she sent me a snow globe that had wood duck made only from clay (no painting) and wood ducks are pretty colorful. I would take a picture, but I think they are to small to show.
I may try tomorrow and see if I can get a good picture.
Thanks for showing us your owl. I may need to raise some small egg gourds this summer.
