Anyone know the cheapest place to buy 5" plastic candy tubes (test tubes)in bulk? Not sure of the width, but I want them to hold mm's or small mints. Maybe 1" wide? Thanks for any suggestions of where to start looking.

Do a search on google or other for "plastic candy tubes".

They run from $1.11 to $1.50 and higher. Some of the sites you have to order large amounts. The last site seemed to be the cvheapest, but the least amount you can order is 50. And they don't come with caps, you have to order them seperately, costing .06 to .08 each and higher.

Thanks ladies for your help. I will need about 50 of these. When I googled candy tubes, I was seeing cellophane sleeves. Wonder if test tubes could be used instead. Would they be safe for candy?

Test tubes are glass aren't they?

The last place that I posted had 50 for less than 1.00 each, but I can remember how little. That seemed to be the best bet. Or get 100 (even cheaper that way) and save the rest for next year, or sell them to a friend.

Hope you let us see when yu get them done.

Jean

I just finished making candy tubes using the cellephane ones, as I got 100 for $5.00 off of ebay. The test tubes come in glass or plastic and are really expensive most I found are about $1.00 apiece.
