I made the ladybug, frog, chick in egg, and bunnies from Michael's craft eggs last year. You do need a hot knife for the ladybug and the hatching egg chick. I highly recommend the walnut hollow that includes other attachments. it has worked really great for me. Since most of these don't look like eggs when you are done, I used them as get well presents for a friend of mine who was in the hospitals after surgery. I sent her the bunny with a note that said "some bunny loves you and hopes you get well soon." And I sent her the frog with a card that said "hope you are hopping again soon." The ladybug is the most complicated and the bunny and the frog are easier. I am enclosing pictures of the ones that my mom and I made along with the links to the directions at michaels.com. The picture of the frogs was taken before I put on second coats of paint and fixed the a little. We initially did them at the store and they only got one coat of paint. I used a smaller egg for the bunny, they were cheaper and used less fur. I ended up getting the rest of the eggs on sale.
