Here I am again, needing help. lol

I want to make home made cappichino for the grand-kids (seems they've all grown up and on their own now...Frown )and want to use plastic jars as I have to mail them. And I want 1/2 pint jars, or there about. A peanut butter jar holds a batch, but I don't want to send 2 or 3 of those. Want to send smaller jars so I can send several flavors. Would like them to be clear, but not a given.

Any ideas what comes in jars that size? (I like to recycle if possible) Or where I can buy small plastic jars that size?

Thanks Jean

Jean, would Rubbermaid make the size you need. You know the type that people use for left over storage.

I'm going to check them out Diane. Thanks.

Found some in a search that would work, but I had to order a case and it was about $250.00!!!!! lol Needless to say, I didn't order them. Will go to town and see what I can find. I just decided about using them this morning.

If you have a dollar tree in your area sometimes they have cute small jars. I found some there last year that looked like clear canister jars but were small size.

I've used these containers. They're very sturdy and the screw lid is secure. Perhaps they'll meet your needs. I got them at the grocery store.

You can also get the square, round, and rectangle shapes with snap on lids, which are very tight. I use them for freezing. They aren't really expensive. They come in all sizes, and can be found in most stores.

Thank you ladies. I'm thinking of the Ziploc containers. And will check the $ stores.

I want them to have different flavors and then if they really like one, I can make more and send it to them thru-out the year.

Jean, just keep your eyes open. Ziplock and Rubbermaid do make the smaller size containers, but sometimes it is just by luck that you find them. I have made up my own fruit cups for the lunch bag using either manufacturer.

Ball makes plastic canning jars that would work. They come in 2 sizes and can be found at WalMArt.

Cammy that is a good idea. They come in different sizes. They are called Ball Freezer Jars and are found with the canning supplies.

And I have so much to do...

...making head warmers on my knitting machine for all the great grands (neighbors have seen them and now are ordering them too!!!)

...chairs made from soda (pop) cans (6-8)

...birthday calendars for family members (9)

...reprint the family cookbook for 'new' adult members (about 10)

...wood burning a basket for one sister

...found lovely poem on wooden plaque and want to put quilled flowers on it for the sister that helps me out so much

...make hot chocolate and capichinno for a lot of people, especially the grands so they can remember the fun times we had when they were little at Grandma's (a bunch)

...make molded candies and other candy for family and neighbors (lots)

How many days until Christmas??? lol

Oh yah...I got the wooden spoons woodburned and packaged. One thing down and marked off my list. lol (12 sets)

Anyway, thanks for all the help ladies. Now to add shopping onto my list.
