I went early this morning to buy some of the material that was a Saturday special. I got there at 8:00am to find two ladies had purchased every bolt that was on sale. She told me yesterday she bought $1200.00 worth of fleece. I think they should have a limit. I saw the square bins & went to take one out & she almost bite my head off.
Not a happy crafter!

I agree that a limit is a good idea, but they have to announce it ahead of time.

I refuse to shop at stores that don't limit their sale items. Too many times I ran into the same problems. Every single thing is already gone no matter when I got there. As for those women, who knows if the stupid store didn't just have somebody come in like a customer to buy it so all the other shoppers would end up spending more on other stuff? Especially since like Robin said - who buys that much?

I can't believe that you would actually think that a big store like that would really have someone come in to do something like that!!!

Why not? No one is saying it was the store owners themselves that did it. It might have been a manager trying to make sales look better for themselves. Who knows? It would be silly of me to not think of every possibility and to be honest this seems to be one. It's hard for me to believe that someone would buy that much material without some other motive. It's harder for me to believe that in this economy someone would be thinking of opening a material store.

Wow!
If there is anyway that I can help you with purchasing from Michigan, please let me know.
(I know that the Saturday special is long gone, but if I can help let me know.)
Diane

I was at the Joannes near me yesterday. There was a sign next to the fleece material that was on sale, it was so much for a yard, and an another amount for the whole bolt. I had never seen that before. There was a long line around the cutting table with only 2 women cutting, and they were slow as molasses on a cold winter's day.
