Here is a link (hopefully) to my snowman lightbulb ornament that I painted. I made his hat out of felt. I took him to work and the girls there said I should charge between $7-10 for it. Is that too much? What does everyone else charge? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Lori K.,
I just love his face. You did a wonderful job on him. For mine I charge $5.00 but I've been told that is to low? I do them by the dozens so it doesn't take to long. I live in Canada so maybe prices are different from place to place?
Today, Tomorrow and always!
If you see someone without a smile...give them one of yours!
Oh, I love his little face. You did very well with your painting. I love his little hat too.
Very cute face! The going rate here is $6.50 to $8.50 depending on the detail of the ornament.
That is cute. I wish people wanted to pay that much for them around here. People hear light bulb and think it should only cost a couple bucks. But seems they are that way about most handmade things lately. Too much Made in China junk out there and too many people not wanting to pay for better made stuff.
I agree, after all the work that was put into them.... even if you are making a dozen at a time, it's still ...time...
I did the 5.00 each or 3 for 10.00...tough on the buyer... but that was back in the late 90's- 2004..
I was going to put $7 or $8 but my husband just told me that I would never get that for just a lightbulb. He thinks I should just charge $3. So now I don't know what to price them for. Maybe $6 each or 2 for $10. Should I charge just $3 for them? What do you think?
Lori, I would say a minimum of $6 each. I do like additional pricing options. Maybe $7 each and 2 for $13. I find that if I price in "odd" number amounts, I do better somehow----like it's harder for folks to do the math when trying to calculate prices in odd numbers??!!! I dunno, but it works for me! In the summer, I sell neck coolers for $5 each or 3 for $13, and they almost always buy THREE!
If you decide to charge $6 each, I'd offer 2 for $11.This message has been edited. Last edited by: pfr4,
He is very cute. Great job!! Hope you sell them all. I don't have any idea what they would go for here. Not been to any fairs this yr. yet.
