Some senior centers have ladies that do quilting. I had the same problem and I just tied mine with yarn to match. I agree with Bozie on the quilting board you don't want to much of it quilted. Good luck.

Carolinapig It doesn't have much filler in it. thats why I want more stitches on it. it is flimsy. the first time I wash it all the filler will shift. and I have a large dog that is constantly jumping on it. No offense but if have someone qulit it by hand it will probably cost me $100 or more. I can't afford it. Thats why I was looking for a machine quilter. thanks, Eileen
I just looked at the reviews on your set, and all of them love their sets, but none of them mentioned anything about washing them, so I guess that doesn't help much. I wouldn't be surprised if the filling is somehow fused to the fabric and will do fine in the laundry, as long as you follow directions.

Eileen, contact a seamstress. She might be able to give you names of ladies who do this or know someone who could. Machine or otherwise. Do you sew? It might be something you could do yourself. Light sewing machine stitching should be easy. I've done it before.

Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you always know they're there.
When you pull on the two outside fabrics do they pull away from the "batting" inside? Do you think it is just floating in there? If so, and if you just tied it not too close together, I don't think it would look like a quilt. Also I don't think the inside would be disturbed by Jenna - how have the fabrics on the outside of previous covers held up?

Summers are just this side of hell, but you don't have to shovel sunshine...
This is just a wild thought: If you don't want it to "look like a quilt", you might mark off blocks and tie with the knot on the backside of your comforter. That way you'd only have a small stitch showing on the "right" side.
Thanks everyone for your help. I took it out of the package and lifted up the top piece of matertial and it lifted right off the comforter. So I am sending it back. Next time I will call. Too bad it was made to cheaply. Eileen
