When I opened my Google page this morning, I expected to see the header to celebrate Easter -- but NO. They have a picture of Cesar Chavez , celebrating his birthday WHAT !!!
I have noticed this before where religious holidays or patriotic holidays are bypassed. No place to email them that I can find. Guess I should change my search engine but I'm not very good at changing things and I do like the format they have so guess I should SHUT UP Well, sorry to vent this morning and I do hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and enjoys this special day.
You know what...you took the words right out of my mouth. That was the first thing I saw too!!! I said (to myself) what the heck is this doing on here.!!!!! They could have just put bunnies and chicks on the page.
HAPPY EASTER to you too.
Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you always know they're there.
The Canadian Google is just the reg. page. My thought is there are different religions out there and they don't wont to offend. Have a grand Day!! Liz
I find that Bing has better and more search results. Usually Google just gives you one page of decent results. I agree, what could possibly offend anyone with chicks and bunnys?!!
I too noticed that today as well. Bunnies would have been cute or even a bunch of fancy lady bonnets. For my birthday this week, when I logged on to google, I had a lot of birthday cakes, cupcakes, sparklers, etc. But I don't know how they knew it was my birthday. Went in and checked my husbands computer and his was the normal one.
Hope everyone had a nice day.
Bing is beautiful with a full page of painted eggs!
I see that this topic is on the news today ( Monday ) and apparently many people felt the same way that I did. They said many people were switching to Bing because of this slight . So, guess I was not the only one.
One of the news guys said he didn't think Goggle did it on purpose ????
Anyway, just some thoughts.
They were talking about it on Huffington Post yesterday. I also hate how now on google when you click on something you get this big grey square asking where you want to go, I rather just go to the site page instead of this extra step. I'm not a big fan of Bing, maybe I haven't been on it long enough.
I've never liked Google and don't like Bing.

Google knows a lot....it has always been known as one of the largest collectors of personal info when you're searching the web, no thanks. This message has been edited. Last edited by: rainee,
"Welcome to reality would you like some popcorn?"
I've stuck with Yahoo all these years. Sometimes when doing an update on something a pop-up will ask if I want to install Google or Google Chrome. I always click it off.
Unfortunately, it has become politically correct to not offend anyone except Chris-tians.
Does this hat make my butt look big?
