I mixed acrylic paint (bottled) with water but can't get this deep color--what paint did you dip them in?

THANKS--my granddaughter (6) loves doing this.

Hi Marcy!

I'm so glad you and your granddaughter are doing this! What a great way to bond and what a great age she is! I used acrylic paint, straight out of the bottle. I did not water it down. Then, I painted over everything with regular white glue (Elmers) and sprinkled inexpensive dollar store red glitter over the wet glue. I painted the cardboard first, so if any glitter fell off or didn't get covered, the same color is underneath. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions!
