My oldest saw rings that she wants but I have no way to buy them because of certain conditions. I am more than willing to try to make them myself but I have a problem. I have no idea where to get metal that is wide enough but not too thick to make them. It has to be about 1/4 inch wide, and thin enough to be able to be bent around a finger while thick enough to not bend out of shape every time something pushes against it. I don't even know what to put in a search engine to look for what I want. Any help would be totally appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think slinky wire is easy to bend. i would buy tubular wire from the hardware store. It comes in different thicknesses and kinds of metal (silver and copper colored). Bend it around a wooden dowel of the right size to make your ring.

I am not sure where to find 'tubular wire' in the hardware store. You may have to ask. Just make sure it it hollow (thus tubular and not solid). You should see a variety of gauges of thicknesses.

A friend of mine beads her ring backs and they stretch too. Would you consider beading?

I wish I could just bead it but she wants them like the ones she saw which were the metal ones. Thanks anyhow.
