My painting partner did this last year, although it did look pretty, by the time our craft show was over it was flaking off and really made a mess over our 3 day show. Just a word of caution.

I made a couple a few yrs back on some votive candle holders & the salt fell off. It didn't look as nice as the ones I got the idea from. Maybe someone can come up with a better glue to use.
