drying orange slices

drying orange slices
okay I got info to dry oranges (gonna use for simmering scents) in the microwave, did exactly as directed and burned all but 3 oranges in the bag. I need someone who has done this to help me. please help me.

Eileen I have done them in my oven and also I have a drying rack machine thingy. LOL Oven is easy though. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut your oranges into even slices and place in over at 250 for 5 to 6 hours. ( with my oven I can do them overnight ) Just keep an eye on them because all ovens are different. I'm not sure what to do with your mircrowave method though. Good luck.

Thanks for replying, thought I was the only one that ever tried to dry oranges. do you have to turn them over?

I have a dehydrator that I use for oranges...etc. Nice christmas gift to give yourself...lol
