These do not look hard to make. You could do in a theme like a sport team, Halloween, Christmas, etc. Put in sets of 4 to sell.

I use these tiles and put a computer generated picture that has been laminated and put a bar picture hanger on the back. Haven't made coasters tho. They are using an acrylic spray to seal the picture. Wonder how they will stand up to heat of a coffee cup or water from condensation of a glass with ice.? Has anyone made these and tried it?

no but they are cute...& easy you could do this with a cute picture and plate holder to sit it on.... ya know, you could go to the site and ask that question. She should know, as she has probably used them herself.

I make & sell tile coasters & they hold up great. The condensation from a cold drink soaks into the coaster & then dries up. To use them as coasters you have to use a tumbled chiaro 4x4 tile. I stamp them using stazon ink & then seal them with an acrylic spray. I can't remember the name of the spray, but it's in a purple can that says it's suitable for tile/stone. Also, put felt or peel n stick felt circles on the bottom to protect your tabletops. I haven't tried using paper images, so I'm not sure how they would work using this spray.
